Before we embark further on, here are few words from the developer of the website.
It is a pleasure to have you here. I am Mukunda, the designer and developer of this website. I grew up in Tarahara; did my schooling from Nilkantha School. I had a great time as a child growing up in the village. It was a great place to live, filled with nice people. Currenty I live in the United States. I am a student of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. I created these web pages for a project work for one of my class. I had been thinking about running a site for my village. Everybody liked the idea and with continued support of my friends and others I decided to buy this domain name for my lovely village. It is very hard to keep the site updated as I get really busy here with my studies. I have been and will be trying to keep it updated. I would appreciate any help from anybody from Tarahara living anywhere in the world. You could send pictures, share stories, articles, news, anything that might be useful for all of us and will make the site more useful. I will be looking forward to hearing from you all.
I have got many emails from people around the world about the site. Every body is happy to see the site. It does feel good especially for people like us living far away from home. So everybody let us remain united and share what we hear about the village from our friends back home. Do keep in touch!
This site has been designed to be as simple as possible. It is viewed best with Internet Explorer 5.0 or Firefox 1.5 and up. The navigation is placed at the top of the page. I hope to add few more pages soon.
